Coffee Anyone?

Hello friend! If you are new around here, ever friday you are invited to have coffee with me and some of my friends!
If you were here with me now I would welcome you into my home and express how glad I am that you are here to share some coffee with me! Today I want to share a song with you that I heard on my drive home this morning. I had a great visit with my parents but am glad to be back home. Anyway, this song is so perfect for today. It is everything I would want to say today... Would you listen to it with me?

Sidewalk Prophets
The Words I Would Say

Be strong in the Lord, never give up hope!
You're gonna do GREAT things!
God's got His hands on you

Take your time and pray

Thank God for EACH day!

This song really touched me and is simply what I want to say to you today. I know this is a little different then my usual coffee dates, but I hope it stuck out to you too!

When you need a refill, head over and have another cup with Chrissy from Boerman RamblingsNay form Cover to cover, and Alissa from  Rags to Stitches.

Be the You God created you to be

This Sunday at church the pastor said something that really made me think. He told us to stop trying to be the person we think we should be, or who others think we should be, start being the person God made us to be. We are called Christian, Christ follower, even Saint. We need to start living up to that person! I am not someone other than myself. We compare ourselves so often and more times than not, I get discouraged by who I am not, rather than focused on who God wants me to be and who He created me to be. Like Nay said (from Cover to Cover and everything in between)- we need to learn to love ourselves!

I sat at the salon today listening to Brit Nicole "Walk On Water" and it made me think about all the ways I have held back from being the person Christ made me to be. I am better than this and I need to stop doubting. I hold back in so many areas because I am afraid, I am afraid to fail or be laughed at. I am afraid to step on toes, most often I am afraid of being me. But being me is who God wants me to be!
As this song plays over and over in my headset, these words hit me...

Another wave of doubt..
What if I never make it?
......
When you take that first step into the unknown , you know that He won't let you go!
......
What are you waiting for? What are you afraid to lose? Your insecurities try to alter you

You know you were made for more!
So don't be afraid to move!
Your faith is all it takes and you can walk on water too!
......
Step out!
......
So what are you waiting for?
What do you have to lose?
You know you were made for more!

and
 then, she {snapped}

It's The Little Things

I am linking up with Sarah from Fontenot Four to share the little things that make me happy!
For starters, my son is finally feeling and doing better and my husband is home from his little trip west!

There is not a better sight out there! My two boys together!

It was so great to see my two boys playing together and watching tv. To see them interact is priceless!

Also, if I am being honest, it has been nice to be able to shower, brush my teeth and get dressed alone. My poor little guy would not let me out of his sight when he wasn't felling well. :) Oh the simple little things!

I am also excited for the chance to go out on a date with my husband tonight! It has been a little while since we have been able to do that. Our goal this year was to try and have date night every friday, whether we went out or not... we haven't done great, but we aren't giving up. Monday, is just as good as friday!

Enjoy your monday everyone!! Don't forget to be thankful for the little things in life.
