Birthday Ideas

So my little guy is turning 1 August 18th- I can't believe it and I know it will be here before I know it. I am trying to get things together now, at least the ideas, so that when the time comes I am not running around like a crazy mom trying to make it perfect. Even though my husband is right, its probably more for me than him. He will only be 1 and not remember it BUT I still want to make it as special as I can for HIM.

Looking around at ideas I had to go with "Little Monster" Theme- He IS by the way my little monster! I just love him so much and we have been having so much fun these last 10 months!

Here are some ideas I found but would LOVE it if you had ideas or sites to share with me.

Hand-made monsters (these would be fun to do)

Monster Cake of course

And I love chalkboard stuff! This is a must for me.

I found all these ideas and have been saving them on pinterest- Check them out here

And please- share your ideas too!

Boo-Hoo Owl

So I ran across this Boo-Hoo Owl at Simply Jenna and I fell in love! He is soft and cuddly in the front and in the back he is filled with rice. You can keep him in the freezer so that when you little one has a boo-boo, they have something cute and cold to make it feel better.  Such an awesome idea, and just adorable!

I have not sewn anything since I was maybe 9 and then it was just to sew a blanket or something quick that no one cared about. So... or should I say sew.... I gave this a try. Mine is no where near as cute as hers but I still love him. :)

What do you think? Did you fall in love too?

Here is her tutorial

Check her out at Simply Jeanna- what a fun blog!

Strut Your Stuff

I am joining Strut Your Stuff over at JessicaNDesigns - week 2

I ran across this awesome touchy feely board at The Letter 4 and
I L-O-V-E it! She made such a cute board!!

However, I have a little boy and my husband was not letting me make him a flower board. :)
So I started making an Under The Sea board- not so easy BUT hopefully when I am finished it will be cute (in a manly way of course)  :) I just used things I could find around the house.

My Touch n Feel Board

 My Favorite- Fabric Whale

Felt and Sand Paper Seaweed (its not very rough sand paper)

My snail with fleece interfacing

I am not near finished yet but I will add things as I find them. I am thinking about doing another one on the other side. Flowers would have been much easier but what a fun thing!!
I love it!

Fabulous Finds!

Alright.. Lets get started!
I am excited about starting this blog and showing everyone some great finds.

I love this Alphabet sheet that is over at Teach Beside Me
My little monster LOVES the alphabet song and I could really use a cute sheet for him to play on. Plus as he gets older- oh the fun things and games to play!

A newer blog I found and LOVE- the letter 4. If you haven't checked out their blog you should. There are 4 sisters all blogging together and I love the things they come up with!

One last thing to show you.. A Girl With A Glue Gun
What awesome things she finds and makes. You have got to see this Menu Planner
She gives you the tutorial, will send you a kit OR she sells them all put together. I would love to make one of these!

I hope you enjoyed these finds and if you end up making any of these I would love to see it!
