Do Everything.....

Its been on of those days. Not a bad day, just another crazy day. I am sorta potty training our 2 year old. Actually he is doing most of it but today I decided to put big boy underwear on him. (if only you could see how cute he is in them haha) He has done pretty good. He peed a little once now but yelled "potty", so I take that as a positive. On the downside, he only napped for 45 minutes... Now my little tornado is running through the house and all I could think about was this song.
Maybe you need to hear it too.

Do Everything
by Stevin Curtis Chapman

You're picking up toys on the living room floor for the 15th time today
Matching up socks
Sweeping up lost cheerios that got away

You put a baby on your hip
Color on your lips and head out the door

While I may not know you,
I bet I know you
Wonder sometimes, does it matter at all?

Well let me remind you, it all matters just as long
As you do everything you do to the glory of the One who made you,
Cause he made you,
To do
Every little thing that you do
To bring a smile to His face
Tell the story of grace
With every move that you make
And every little thing you do

MUST HAVE COFFEE

Oh what a day and its only 1:45 pm and I am so thankful its nap time! It has been a Crazy morning! First, this child woke up early- 6:20 (thats early here now). I also didn't get much sleep last night, for various reasons {my husband snores, and last night I got hit a couple times. He doesn't mean to of course, but its a crazy way to be woken up in the middle of the night. You end up sleeping in a defense position just in case he attacks again.} Anyway, so the morning was a bit rough, but it was ok. I got breakfast made for my boys, and by breakfast, I mean popping a waffle in the toaster- Good Morning guys, enjoy! Mommy is going to go drink her breakfast and clean up a bit. I will say though, I do like the mornings when I actually get to be up when my husband leaves for work. {Aw}

So fast-forward a bit and as the morning is going along, there are old christmas movies playing {frosty the snowman, rudolf - those classics} so I can get started on some more orders. I go back and forth between working on orders and playing with my son. I still need to make sure he doesn't get left out, and when I am sitting at my desk he comes over quite often and wants to help. Since he is only two, its not the safest area for him so I quickly turn his attention elsewhere. He has helped before though... He loves it.
I mean look at that face
<-------------

So between working and my son it was a busy morning. He is acting fine but was having accidents this morning in his diaper and he never has #2 accidents anymore. We were back and forth to the bathroom 3 times in 20 minutes so I finally just left his pants off and put a pull-up back on him.  We played some more and I kept an eye on him. He still seemed fine and is getting his 2 year old molars so could explain it. We got out some stamps out and had fun with stamps and stickers.  He got a popcorn snack and we enjoyed some time together. After some more clean up, it was time to work and he wanted to watch Wonder Pets. The tv went on and he sat watch and then ran around while I worked. It wasn't more than 10 minutes and I hear what sounds like him pouring out his water ALL over the living room floor....
Only, it wasn't water. He had pulled off his pull-up and was PEEING ON MY FLOOR! As soon as I looked at him he ran for the bathroom, but it was mostly too late. I was very upset, kinda shocked...but wanted to stay somewhat calm because I couldn't tell if he was trying to help by pulling it off so he could go to the bathroom, or if once it was off he just went. We had a little talk and it was time for bed.

This momma needs some peace and quiet, with NO sounds of The Wonder Pets, Yo Gabba Gabba or anything else Nick Jr in the background. Just me and my coffee. May do I LOVE this kid, more than anything, but I am very thankful for nap time and coffee breaks!

I am also thankful that this day that feels like a monday, is actually FRIDAY- Woo Hoo!

Happy friday everyone! Take some time to relax and enjoy some "me" time.

Pink Project

Happy Friday everyone
I would like to share with you all a project by the lovely Brittany from Naturally Estes.
She has such a big heart and is here to explain this amazing project with you all.
The Pink Project!

Pink hair is FUN.
Pink hair is a little SCANDALOUS.
BUT...
Pink hair now has a PURPOSE!

Pink hair now means FOUR women's lives have been changed! These women in Ethiopia have a right to life. A life outside of HIV/AIDS and the sex industry. They deserve to feel worthy, loved, and to love themselves. WE can be apart of that!

"Women and children are often the most exposed and abused victims of injustice, especially in the war-torn areas of Africa. In Nazaret, Ethiopia, Mocha Club helps rehabilitate women in Ethiopia who were forced into a life of prostitution as an attempt to escape their situation of poverty. The “Women At Risk” program provides spiritual, emotional, and psychological counseling and helps them find alternate means of income to support themselves and their children." The Mocha Club

Just a quick recap:

*I've kinda, secretly wanted to die my hair pink
*But now I'm making it count!
*The Mocha Club is an AMAZING organization!
*They help women in Ethiopia out of the sex industry
*It's a holistic approach (counseling, rehabilitation, job training, daycare, healthcare, etc.)
*$400 saves ONE woman
*I'm setting a goal to save FOUR!
*That's $1600
....which can easily be accomplished by:

1 donation of $1600
4 donations of $400
16 donations of $100
160 donations of $10

Let's make this happen!
Give hope to women who need it so!

Grab this button from "Pink Project" section in my nav bar!

Then SHARE about The Pink Project on your blogs, in your towns, EVERYWHERE!

...of course we'd LOVE for you to:

Nat's Knapsack shop

Hello again! I wanted to stop in and share some things I have been working on lately.
I really love my little etsy shop and would love to share these with you.
Christmas is around the corner and I think these would make great gifts.

"LOVE YOU TO THE MOON & BACK" Hand-Stamped Nickel Silver Pendant Necklace is just that perfect old saying to show someone you love just what they mean to you.
This necklace comes with or without the heart charm shown.

This keychain is hand-stamed with the phrase of your choice, but I do love "Our Dad Rocks"

This Africa necklace is near and dear to my heart. What a wonderful reminder for anyone serving in Africa or for those adopting. I am in-love and so excited to be able to offer this!

Africa is hand stamped on a unique mini pewter pebble about the size of a dime. The pendant is not perfectly circular and each pebble is different. You can also stamp a date or small word on the back.

One of my favorites! A family necklace with birthstones and charm. One Washer pendant with children's names, one Heart pendant, one rectangle pendant with Anniversary date on it** This necklace shows the baby feet stamped on the heart for a sweet angel baby, never to be forgotten. ♥

This one of a kind Long cluster designed multi-charm necklace is created with different charms and metals. Something that I just love! It seems to go with everything.

This last one I will show you today and it is very special to me.

Angel Baby Necklace is Hand-Stamped on Nickel Silver Pendant with angel wing charm and birthstone. This is a bitter-sweet and meaningful necklace for me as well. It breaks my heart to hear of all our angel babies. This is my way of sending love to those who are struggling with that loss.

I hope you love these pieces I have been working on. Please stop by my shop and facebook page for more.

Happy shopping and remember to support your local and handmade shops this Christmas.

What are you putting in your shoebox?

Operation Christmas Child- What are you putting in your shoebox this year?

This year is a little different for us. This year my son is 2 and I want him (as best he can) to understand what we are doing. I am taking him to the store and we are going to put together a shoebox full of toys and things for someone else.

What an act of KINDNESS

Have you stopped by Operation Christmas Child yet
Here is some information for you:

Simple Gifts

God uses Operation Christmas Child to touch the lives of Philippine children living in dire conditions.

It smells so strongly of trash and cow dung at the big garbage dump outside of Manila that most people hold handkerchiefs to their noses to block some of the smell. No one wants to visit this area. Muck swallows shoes, leaving people barefoot in the smelly mess.

I hope this touches you as much as it does me. Will you help Operation Christmas Child- What are you putting in your shoebox this year?

Me, as a Red Head? hmmm

Ok so I need your help.
I have been talking about dying my hair and I just don't know.
When I searched red hair these are the ones that kept sticking out to me.

Could I pull it off??

Here I am with my current short blonde hair

It would be a big change, but I seem to always be changing my hair.

It was fun looking back at how I change it.
I had long blonde hair forever and then it went between
short and long blonde hair to short and long dark hair.
Maybe red is next...

So... Could I pull it off??
I do like changing my hair :)

Pumpkin Carving Time

What fun we have been having lately. Its been a busy week and I have loved it.

Thursday day and night was amazingly warm and beautiful. (Hard to believe it is storming and snowing now) My mom came to visit and we had friends over to carve pumpkins. My son also joined in on the fun and painted a pumpkin.

Great friends and good times (thank you to my hubby for taking the picture)

Flo and Tricia getting down and dirty pulling out the pumpkin seeds

I told my son he was showing off so he kept saying "Showing"LOL

Keep Calm...

This is one Keep Calm that I really like
found here

We often stress about so many things in our life and while reading some blog posts I ran across two amazing posts this morning. I would encourage you to take a moment and check them out. You won't regret it.
The first is by Kate Conner- I Dub Thee - I just fell in-love with this post and I know you will too.
The second is a new blog I came across (the same one that provided the keep calm above) where Becky shared a video with us about Seeing the everyday. Check out the video "how will you be inspired today?"
While you are there you should also check out her Project Life  (her simple scrapbook)

These two posts have opened my eyes to the little things of today.
I am now off to enjoy them.

Have a wonderful wednesday!

Pregnancy & Infant Loss

Posted one day late:
October 15th: Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Will never forget ♥

“Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” - John 16:22

In October 1988, President Ronald Reagan Proclaimed October as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. "When a child loses his parent, they are called an orphan. When a spouse loses her or his partner, they are called a widow or widower. When parents lose their child, there isn't a word to describe them. This month recognizes the loss so many parents experience across the United States and around the world. It is also meant to inform and provide resources for parents who have lost children due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, stillbirths, birth defects, SIDS, and other causes." (site)

I will never forget the day (August 17, 2009) we went into the doctors office to listen to our babies heart beat and heard nothing.  The doctor didn't give us a lot, but gave us a small hope that I was just not as far long as we thought and we would check again in a week. Sadly for us, a week later when we went back in, our baby still had no heart beat.  My DNC was schedule for September 9, 2009.

God is good though, trust in Him Always! On August 17, 2010 (one year later) I was in the hospital being induced to have our precious baby boy. He arrived one day later on August 18th. He is such a blessing. God had other plans for our first child, but I know one day I will meet my sweet baby. For now, God himself (and my grandma Gigi) is with my baby. What a thought!

It doesn't take a special day for me to remember our baby but it is special to have a day where families can unite and all remember.

God bless and be with you all!

AND I am so thankful for this reminder!

"10,000 Reasons (Bless The Lord)"

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
Lord, I'll worship Your holy name

Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I'll worship Your holy name
I'll worship Your holy name

Can I get personal, it may be TMI but you will thank me

Ok Ladies, can I just be real with you? This may be a little TMI for some and maybe a little embarrassing for me BUT I feel I have to share this with you.  It is a great secret/wonder product that I have to share with you (and no I was not asked by this company to blog about this- I truly think women out there need to know about it) Ok here goes... Just A Drop, yes I said it. If you have ever heard about it you might be laughing right now. If you haven't, you are wondering what I am talking about. This product is perfect and I am trying to figure out how to break into conversation on how to explain it... I'll just say it, it goes into your toilet. Yup, toilet.  It is amazing LOL. You literally put just a drop in your toilet before you go and it eliminates any oder. Come on ladies this is amazing. I told my family about this and said that one day I should blog about it because I think women need to know about this. :) If I am being honest, I carry one in my purse and I put another one is in our main bathroom. If a guest comes to visit and is uncomfortable, they no longer have to be. :) So there, I said, I talked about the bathroom. Check it out, have your husbands or the man in your life use it, you will not be sorry.

Happy Monday all   LOL

A quick look at my September Fun

Good morning all... well, while I am currently in the bathroom with my son in the tub (because he had quite the accident) I thought I would take some time to share with you my September. I know its October already but we had some fun this last month and I wanted to share it.

My husband and I went to a friends wedding and had a blast. It was a Saturday night away from home and out of town so we got to spend the night alone and SLEEP in! Amazing!

The Photo Booth was so much fun!!
We all like to be silly

Then just last weekend, in my hometown, we had our festival and kiddie parade that my little was in.
He represented my mom's photography business- Studio L Photography
I think he was super cute

SAY CHEESE!

And of course his FAVORITE ride ever
"again, again"

This was some of our fun that we had in September. I hope you all had a great month and are now enjoying October.
