It's The Little Things

For starters, my son is finally feeling and doing better and my husband is home from his little trip west!

There is not a better sight out there! My two boys together! 

It was so great to see my two boys playing together and watching tv. To see them interact is priceless!

Also, if I am being honest, it has been nice to be able to shower, brush my teeth and get dressed alone. My poor little guy would not let me out of his sight when he wasn't felling well. :) Oh the simple little things!

I am also excited for the chance to go out on a date with my husband tonight! It has been a little while since we have been able to do that. Our goal this year was to try and have date night every friday, whether we went out or not... we haven't done great, but we aren't giving up. Monday, is just as good as friday!

What an amazing Thanksgiving weekend we had! 3 family gatherings and lots of food!! I am afraid to check the scale. Such great fun with family!

& What Makes You Smile Monday

My Simple Moment

My Simple moment this week was an answer to a simple prayer. You see my dear son has rather wide, chubby feet. We have to fork over big bucks to get him shoes that actually fit. It wasn't a big deal in the summer because he wasn't walking much and it is nice and warm and not much need for shoes. So last weekend we had a family photo shoot and I needed to get my little guy some shoes. Well sadly it wasn't but 4 days later and we lost one!

Luckily I noticed right before we walked out of Meijer so I re-traced my steps. I mean, we were all over the store trying to find this lost shoe. I asked strangers, I asked employees, I asked everyone... everyone but God to help me. 

I went to the customer service desk and left my number in case it was found and we left.

It wasn't til I was in the car that I realized I never asked God to help me find this shoe. You might be thinking, "why would you need to bug God for such a silly thing" but why not? He wants to help us and He wants us to ask, and He actually knows where the shoe is! 

So in the car on the way home I prayed aloud that God would help find this missing shoe. And you know what- HE DID!

A few hours later I received a call and someone had found his shoe! 

There are so many times in my life I go through the day without asking God for help, or I think that "this" or "that" is just too silly or small to ask God for help. 

But I believe nothing is too BIG or too small for God!

Believe it or not- he LOVES this thing!  I couldn't hardly keep him in the cart, but when he sits on it, he looks like this. HAHA

My Simple Moment this week was getting to spend some time with my husband DURING the work day!! shh don't tell! It was so great having him spend some time with us! It was a beautiful week, 70-80 degree weather! You never know what you are going to get here in Ohio. 

We made the most of it and headed out to the park and had a blast!

My simple moment this week was this...

While my son was busy watching a DVD before nap time, I went to pay some bills. When he watches his DVD usually nothing gets in his way. You can hear him talking and clapping- its adorable!

Anyway, after a minute I noticed he was quiet so I peaked my head in (I was not far away, trust me) and this is what I found... 

My son had found his Timbits from this morning. I set them on the side table not even thinking about it. Apparently he wanted a snack and was making a HUGE mess!

Funny thing is, even he was making a big mess, all I could do was smile, laugh and grab my camera. It was just too cute and messes can always be cleaned up.

So I took some time and helped him break up the timbit and he ate them right there on the chair.

Family Time

As I mentioned last night- we had a family gathering at my in-laws yesterday. It was so nice to hang out and see everyone. I wanted to share some pictures with you all.

Also, I have a new found love- Picnik! It is amazing and oh so fun!

I wanted to share our simple moment this week with you and link up with Simple As That.

My simple moment this week was with my little family on Saturday morning. We were all together, spending time watching the Ohio State football game. Now I might not know much about sports, nor sadly do I care too much, (don't tell my hubby) BUT in this house there are a few teams you cheer for- Ohio State (football) and The Blue Jackets (Hockey). So we do play along- and I enjoy it! I mean, how cute is this little guy?!
