Friday Date!

Oh how I have missed Friday Dates with you!
The last 2 weeks have just been so crazy and the day got away from me.

If you were here with me I would happily offer you something to quench your thirst so we can sit and chat a bit.
As you saw yesterday, I made a coffee run and actually I picked up some tea too and I have some yummy hot chocolate too. mmm mmm good

When you are nice and comfy I'd love to hear what you have been up to! Has your April been as crazy as mine? Oh course on top of the craziness, its also tax time {BLAH!} I am not a fan! I am a SAHM but my husband is self employed so tax stuff is even more of a pain then usual. Honestly, when I worked and was single, I looked forward to tax time because I actually got a return. It is most definitely not as much fun when you owe them money. {just thought I would point that out, incase you thought it was lol}
On a sorta good/helpful note, we are selling my Honda Accord. The dealership is giving us an amazing deal, so its kind of hard to pass that up at the moment. We did all the math and calculations and it will save us in the long run to sell now and actually lease.  Then in a couple years when we are able to grow our family, this momma will be rollin in a minivan aka swagger wagon.

 Until then, I am happy to stick closer to the ground in another honda accord.

Other than that, its basically time to really budget and watch our spending (again). We seem to do really good for a while and then kinda let things go...and go. Its just so much fun to buy things for my little and for the house. I love trying to decorate. I say "try" because I am not sure if I always know what I am doing.

Jumping subjects, because thats how my mind seems to work- I am SO SO HAPPY to see how "normal" my son is acting today! He is actually eating too! He has had breakfast, milk and lunch all before noon! It has been really hard getting him to eat lately.

So what are you up to this weekend? We are going to be spending more time with my wonderful in laws! I look forward to a beautiful day outside and a fabulous fire tonight! So lovely!!!

Changing subjects again...
I just finished up 4 orders and they are going out today! I really enjoy my little shop and making special pieces for people! Its the whole reason I wanted to do this! I want to be able to created those pieces for people at an affordable price. I also really enjoy being able to take the time to get to know my "customers" and what their needs are. I have made some great friendships doing just that! I am a small enough shop that I can do that, and I don't think I ever want to lose that. I would rather stay small and personal then big and not know anything about anyone coming to me. What do you think?  Do you agree with that?

Anyway, I have to run and get dressed, I can't stay in my pjs all day. We have a car to sell. ha
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!
Talk soon!!

Don't forget, you can have another cup with Chrissy from Boerman RamblingsNay form Cover to cover,  Faith from The Life of Faith and link up with Alissa from  Rags to Stitches.

  1. I know what you mean about budgeting. I do really well for awhile and then I start slacking. Definitely time to tighten the reins. :)

  2. I know what you mean about it being better to really know your customers/readers versus getting so big to where everyone is just a number! I had been debating the issue of whether to try to drastically grow my blog, or let it grow in its own time, and I think I've deicided I'd rather have fewer readers that I have awesome relationship with over having a ton of followers I never get to know. I enjoyed having tea with you today!

Thank you for your comments, I love hearing from you
