Inspiration Workshop: BOOKS

I am linking up again with Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop- Prompt: Inspiring Books
When I think of a book- the first kids book to come to mind is my sons ABSOLUTE favorite!
If you have a little one you really should get this book. I received mine as a gift and then went and purchased a few more so the grandparents had one and I now have one to give as a gift.  (I found mine at Marshals for $3.99!)
It is truly the cutest thing to read to my little guy.  Its just a short book and you will have it memorized after a few times through.  There are mirrors on every other page for them to enjoy.
My son now, when we read "Look at frog stick out his long pink tongue, Blah"
He will open his mouth and say "BLAH"

"Puff- and Blow" - he actually blows

This is my go to, to get him excited- just pull out this book and he is happy.
However- when he was younger and tired, he used to cry when someone, other than mommy or daddy, would read it to him. When they got to the "Blah" part he would scream.... It was kinda funny.

Now for us adults, I have to tell you about my favorite trilogy of all time!
A TRUE MUST READ!

"#1 A Voice in the Wind: This first book in the classic best-selling Mark of the Lion series brings readers back to the first century and introduces them to a character they will never forget—Hadassah. Torn by her love for a handsome aristocrat, a young slave girl clings to her faith in the living God for deliverance from the forces of decadent Rome."
"#2 An Echo in the Darkness: Turning away from the opulence of Rome, Marcus is led by a whispering voice from the past into a journey that could set him free from the darkness of his soul."
"#3 As Sure As the Dawn: Atretes. German warrior. Revered gladiator. He won his freedom through his fierceness . . . But his life is about to change forever."

These 3 books are some of the most touching, moving, and INSPIRING books I have EVER read! Now I will tell you that it does start out slow, but stick with it and I PROMISE you will not regret it!

  2. Oooh, I'll have to get my hands on that Mirror Me book for my little lady. At seven months, I am guessing she would really enjoy that!

Thanks for stopping over, and love the family blocks that you made too...

  3. Have you read her (Rivers) book Redeeming Love? That's the only book of hers that I read and it was incredible. I'm thinking I'll have to check one of these out the next time I'm at the library.
